About the role

Are you an experienced professional looking for an exciting opportunity to lead the management of diverse property assets in one of the world’s most vibrant cities? The City of Sydney is undergoing a significant transformational change within Property Services, and we’re seeking a skilled and motivated individual to lead our cross-functional team within the Business Relationships & Process, Information Systems and Contract Management disciplines.

 

We manage a unique and diverse range of property assets, including heritage-listed commercial buildings, award-winning libraries, and operationally critical depots. Our portfolio includes over 1,500 property interests worth $2.7 billion, covering assets such as building properties, footway agreements, vacant land, and road interests. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the realisation of our Sustainable Sydney 2030–2050 vision by driving high-performance asset management.

As the Business Services Manager, you’ll:

  • oversee contract management of major contracts, ensuring compliance, monitoring contractor performance against KPIs, and promoting best practices and continuous improvement in processes
  • spearhead development and oversight of an audit framework that ensures data accuracy and building compliance, focusing on major building-related aspects. This includes compliance reporting and ensuring adherence to agreed service levels
  • oversee the continuous improvement of the Property Management Information System, ensuring data accuracy, timely upgrades, and enhancements to support operational needs. Manage accurate reporting, and maximize system use through user training and support.

 

We’re looking for someone with:

  • tertiary qualifications in Business/Contract Management or Accounting with significant experience in similar roles at a senior management level with extensive knowledge and experience
  • track record of implementing new contracts into BAU, including developing contract management model, systems and processes
  • experience developing systems and processes to streamline data collection, performance analytics and reporting.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
