About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Cleansing Operations team. This role manages the City’s large labour workforce who provide efficient and effective street cleansing services with 24/7 shift coverage within the City’s LGA. You will effectively manage operational budgets, implement strategic directions, align resources, people, systems and processes to deliver effective street cleansing services.

To be successful, you will need well developed leadership skills, including day to day people management and long term planning, experience in delivering programs from idea to implementation, and applying the principles of fairness, transparency and productivity to manage performance and drive cultural change. You will also have a proven record of change management and operational planning and implementation resulting in service improvements.

It is essential that you hold management qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a similar position, including the ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple stakeholders.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
