About the role
The City Spaces team has an exciting opportunity available for a highly skilled and motivated Recreation Officer (Gym) to join our KGV Recreation Centre team for a minimum of 4 months. The position is part-time for 25 hours per week.
You will be responsible for operating within a small gym team, providing delivery of high-quality gym programs and services, to address the need of corporate and community needs. You will support the overall efficient and effective day-to-day operations of gym service area, and assist in the identification, development, and implementation of business improvements for the community. The successful applicant may be required to work across a 7-day roster, including evening shifts.
Some key essential knowledge and experience:
- Relevant experience in a fitness setting, including gym qualifications (Certificate 3 - Gym Instructor).
- Demonstrated experience in a leisure, community, sports, or recreation environment.
- Demonstrated experience with planning and delivery of recreational or community programs and services.
- Demonstrated experience in gym class facilitation.
