About the role
The City of Sydney is seeking a motivated and experienced Indoor Events Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality events across our iconic indoor venues. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and successful execution of a diverse range of events, while ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and financial sustainability. You will lead a team of dedicated staff and contractors, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You will play a vital role in workforce planning, streamlining operational processes, and implementing service improvements to support a seamless client experience. Your ability to manage change, drive innovation and uphold safety and compliance standards will be essential to your success.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in managing large-scale events
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on performance and development
- Demonstrated ability to deliver operational efficiencies and improve customer outcomes
- Sound knowledge of event safety, compliance, and risk management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
