About the roles

The City of Sydney is seeking skilled and enthusiastic event professionals to support the delivery of one of the world’s most iconic annual events – Sydney New Year’s Eve. This is your opportunity to work on Australia’s largest hallmark event, with numerous casual positions available throughout December 2025 and January 2026.

Candidates with professional experience in events, technical production, safety, security, traffic management and/or event administration are encouraged to apply.

 

Positions available include: 

  • Site Manager (Hourly rate of $74.91 + Super)
  • Assistant Site Manager (Hourly rate of $56.49 + Super)
  • Project Officer (Hourly rate of $65.30 + Super)
  • Production Coordinator (Hourly rate of $74.91 + Super)
  • Production Assistant (Hourly rate of $56.49 + Super)

 

All hourly rates are inclusive of casual loading with additional penalties applicable.

With on-site, control room and office-based positions available, the City of Sydney is seeking candidates with a range of experience on major events.
