About the role

The City of Sydney has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a casual Vision Operator at the Sydney Town Hall. 

This role is key for the delivery of our AV services for event in the Sydney Town hall, delivering a broad range of expert vision services for concerts and other events, and ensuring the provision of high end technical production service delivery for clients and hirers. 

We’re looking for candidates with: 

  • minimum of 5 years professional technical experience working within the live production, corporate or events industry, preferably within a performing arts venue, convention centre or similar venue
  • demonstrated experience for the role including the setup and operation of vision equipment including Blackmagic ATEM and Barco S3 vision switching systems, setup of large format projection screens and projectors including multi projector blends, camera switching and content management using software such as Powerpoint, Keynote, Millumin, Qlab and similar platforms
  • ability to read and interpret production and operational requirements, production schedules and safety plans ability to work autonomously and effectively manage time, meet deadlines, balance competing priorities under broad direction using judgement to make decisions as required
  • working knowledge of current safe work practices and emergency procedures.
